The Warden for the County of Renfrew, Debbie Robinson, says we need to support our local businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic. Robinson says businesses across the Ottawa Valley are feeling the impact. The warden says the Economic Development Office is in constant contact with the tourism industry to see how they can help.
Robinson says they’ve closed all public buildings to walk in traffic, but will continue to provide essential services. The warden wants the public to know their front line workers such as paramedics, those in long-term care, social service workers and public works crews are dedicated to serving our community and giving it their all.
Robinson says they plan to host a virtual county council meeting on April 1st to keep local municipalities updated on the current situation.
