The Outaouais Public Health Department (CISSS) is reporting only one new case of COVID-19 in the last twenty-four hours.
As at Wednesday afternoon there were 13 cases in the region, which is bounded by Gatineau, Maniwaki and the Pontiac.
Screening has ramped up. 1667 tests have be done and results are still to come back on 667 of those.
Part of the Health Board’s job is reassuring the public, and you need to know that every effort is being made to trace the contacts all of the confirmed cases had before diagnosis.
CISSS is confident measures implemented by the Government of Quebec will succeed in slowing the spread of COVID-19.
Services Quebec’s special COVID hotline is 819-644-4545.
