In addition to access restrictions at the Bonnechere Valley Township Office in Eganville, additional measure are now in place in the community following a Monday teleconference involving the municipality’s Emergency Management Group.
Chief Murphy has enacted a Level One Fire Ban as a precaution so that firefighters will not have to answer non-emergency calls.
The chief says other townships are following suit.
There is a social media support group that has been organized, and it is accessible on Facebook by visiting “It Takes a Village: Eganville and Area Help Network.”

Delivery services are currently being offered by Freshmart, Conway’s and Pharmasave.
