The Renfrew and Area food bank will take only cash donations moving forward. Final pick ups of food donations will take place today and tomorrow (Tuesday), but beyond that, it’s cash donations or e-transfers. The food bank has spoken at length with the health unit and they feel this is the best way to help flatten the curve of COVID-19. You can send your e-transfers to renfrewfoodbank@nrtco.net and cheques can be dropped off in their mailbox at the Armouries. In addition, Renfrew Walmart is accepting financial donations at the cash. In the meantime, the food bank will be open tomorrow from noon until 3pm, with modified pick up and increased social distancing. Clients can expect to wait a little longer to be served. Chairs will be placed 2m apart and hampers will be prepared with food for two to three days. Your patience is appreciated.
