The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is out with a list of local restrictions that are consistent with the Declaration of a Provincial State of Emergency.
Already recreation and cultural programming had closed up shop, now non-essential businesses and public places where COVID-19 might spread have ceased operation as a precaution.
Hair salons, tattoo parlours, spas, cinemas, bars and restaurants- unless they offer delivery or takeout, join private schools, childcare centres and concert venues in eliminating customer traffic.
Residents over age 70 are being encouraged to self-isolate.
Social distancing should be the norm. Ten people is the maximum limit for a gathering.
Stay indoors; it reduces your risk.
The Health Unit is offering extended calling hours, seven days a week from 8AM to 7PM (613-735-8654 extension 577) and you can also check out a link to all you need to know as far as self-monitoring, self-isolation and isolation for COVID-19 on the RCDHU website.
