Town of Arnprior is taking precautions following consultations with ARH, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit and the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
Interim Chief Administrative Officer Robin Paquette says effective immediately Town facilities are suspending operations.
Paquette says residents can still do business with Town Hall, but you should phone ahead. The town has closed the Nick Smith Centre, Arnprior Library and Fire Services building, cancelled March Break programming and the municipal council meeting scheduled for March 23rd.
The CAO says if you don’t already have the Arnprior App on you cell phone, now would be a good time to subscribe.
The Township of McNab-Braeside has suspended all Recreation Programming, but the new township Office on Russett Drive remains open, and the municipal Council meeting planned for next Tuesday will go ahead.
The Town of Renfrew has made no decision on its Recreational Programs, but Director Kevin Hill indicates that topic will be discussed at an administration meeting Monday.
If you or a family member suspect you have symptoms of COVID-19, please self-isolate and contact the Renfrew County District Health Unit at 613-735-8653 ext. 555 as soon as possible.
