February unemployment numbers have been released by Statistics Canada.
The Kingston-Pembroke Region, which is our reporting area, showed unemployment standing at 6.2 percent last month, versus a 5.6 percent rate a year ago.
Province-wide, the unemployment rate was 5.1 percent in February, and stood at 5.4 percent in February of 2019.
Nationally, unemployment last month was 5.6 percent in February, compared with the 5.8 percent reported in the second month of 2019.
