The 2020 CCHL Bantam Protect Draft happened Monday (March 2nd) evening at the Nepean SportsPlex.
2005 birth players living in Hockey Eastern Ontario’s catchment area were eligible.
It was the first draft were the Tier 1 CCHL Renfrew Wolves participated.
Coach and co-owner Ryan Leonard says that was the prime reason it was announced on February 25th that the former Kanata Lasers were relocating to Renfrew.
The Renfrew Wolves coach says he wants the club to be comprised of quality players who will be proud to play for the team and the community.
Among local and Valley players chosen for the Renfrew Wolves are Tal Stevenson and Garret Box from Renfrew, Connor Clattenburg from Arnprior, and Benjamin Warren of Eganville.
