Several local drivers are facing impaired driving related charges. According to the Renfrew OPP, on February 26, they responded to a traffic complaint in Arnprior. They stopped the vehicle on Allan Drive and following their investigation, charged the 58 year old Arnprior resident with impaired driving and blood alcohol over 80. The following day, officers received another complaint and stopped a vehicle on Flat Road in Greater Madawaska Township, that investigation sees a 49 year old township resident charged with impaired driving as well as failure or refusal to comply with demand. A few days later, on March 1, police were called to an accident on Storyland Road in Horton Township, a 44 year old Arnprior resident is facing charges of impaired driving. All three were released on a promise to appear.
