While Ontario is looking at moving Vaping products from corner stores to vape-specific stores which may require certification from local Health Units, the Town of Arnprior has amended its Non Smoking Policy to add vaping products to the list of consumables it covers.
Those changes to the bylaw were approved at the Town Council Meeting of February 24th.
That’s Arnprior Interim Chief Administrative Officer Robin Paquette, who say its important information to keep in mind.
You cannot smoke in any municipal park, playground or sporting area, nor within a nine-metre radius to the entrance or exit thereof.
You cannot smoke at or near the Arnprior Sunday Market.
As well as tobacco and vaping products, the No Smoking Bylaw includes cannabis consumption- whether smoked in a marijuana cigarette or with a hooka.
First Nations use of tobacco for ceremonial purposes is exempted.
