The Ace of Spades still hasn’t been found and the local fundraiser for the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation continues into week 45. This week Lisa Leblanc had the lucky ticket and picked envelope number 51 which had the 4 of spades and won herself $103,315.
Executive Director of the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation, Patti Dillabough, says before the draw tonight they had printed 973,000 tickets and handed out over $729,000 in weekly prizes. Dillabough says in the 44 weeks the draw has been going they’ve managed to raise upwards of $1.97-million. She says money raised is going towards a new x-ray suite, portable x-ray equipment, state of the art defibrillators in all units at the hospital and they’ve added anesthesia equipment to the fundraising goal thanks to the support from the community. Dillabough thanks all the volunteers and local vendors who have been able to make this round of Catch the Ace a huge success.
The progressive jackpot for next weeks draw will start at $1.156-million. Tickets are on sale at 46 locations across the Ottawa Valley. A full list of ticket sale locations can be found on the hospital foundation website. 20% of ticket sales go to the weekly draw, 30% goes to the progressive jackpot and 50% supports the local hospital foundation.
