The web publication Golf Advisor is out with its annual list of Canada’s Top 25 Best Value Golf Courses, based on participant’s reviews, and two local links cracked the top ten.
A minimum ten reviews were needed for evaluation and combined with value star-rating averages to determine the rankings.
At number 5, Dragonfly Golf Links of Renfrew, where green fees range from $35 to $53.
Among the comments: “The course was in good shape, the front 9 is more of a links design, and the back 9 is more of a target golf layout.”
At number 7: Whitetail Golf Club in Eganville, where green fees are set between $32 and $50.
Comments received include, “This is a real gem! It is a links style therefore challenging!” “Very nice practice area and absolutely stunning scenery all around!”
Other entries in the Top Ten come from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and elsewhere in Ontario.
