Preparations are underway for the 2020 Hike for Hospice in Renfrew. The event is slated for Sunday May 3, from 11:30am until 4pm at the Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre, and will once again follow the Millennium Trail. Organizers of the Hike say the location is ideal for parking, better facilities, and safety for young families and children. In addition to fundraising for the home that provides respite and end of life palliative care free of charge to all Renfrew County residents, the Hike encourages outdoor fitness, celebrates achievements of those who make the Hospice a reality and promotes the beauty of the Millennium Trail as well as the Town of Renfrew. Last year’s event saw more than 900 participants and raised $125 000 for Hospice Renfrew.
