Directors of Education with both the Renfrew County District School Board and the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board both say it is largely up to the classroom instructors to adjust the delivery of lesson plans to make sure students are taught what they need to know in the time that is available.

If there are too many missed school days, the board could consider extending the school year.
