The doors open at the Horton Community centre at 8 o’clock, but you’re encouraged to arrive early to check out the silent auction items and to make sure you get a seat. Steve Osipenko, one of the organizers of tonight’s benefit for the Plunkett and Schuler families is anticipating a huge turnout.
Nathan Plunkett and Jacob Schuler were seriously injured in a car crash on January 30 and the event is a fundraiser to help cover costs for the family. Local talent performing tonight includes BBC&Co, Steve Agnew, Rick, Dan and Bailey Rogers, as well as Tony Bove and the Dougherty Sisters. Cost is a donation at the door. In addition to the dance, Domino’s Pizza in downtown Renfrew is donating 100 percent of today’s sales of large pepperoni, cheese and Hawaiian pizzas to the families, with a limit of five pizzas per customer to ensure supplies last the night.
