Renfrew OPP is investigating after a series of counterfeit Canadian notes were passed at local businesses in Renfrew and Arnprior.
Police say the fake bills were in fifty and one-hundred dollar denominations.
The bills were used at a variety of different businesses recently.
Business owners are advised to be diligent while handling money.
