The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP has arrested two people following a drug bust in Pembroke. Police say they executed a search warrant on January 28th in the 400 block of Trafalgar Road and seized a quantity of drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, 32-year old Miranda McLaughlin of Pembroke is facing charges includes possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000. McLaughlin was released on a promise to appear in court on March 3rd.
Police have also charged 29-year old Cody Nice of no fixed address with similar trafficking offenses. The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing on Tuesday (February 4th).
The OPPÂ Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and Provincial Cannabis Team assisted with the arrest.
