Road work is coming to Renfrew this construction season. Arnprior Avenue and Ross Street are going under the knife thanks to funding from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure program. The scope of the work includes a section of Arnprior from Queen to Ross and a section of Ross from Thompson to Arnprior. Rehabilitation work includes underground water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage, as well as curbs and sidewalks. The cost of the project rings in around $670 000, with the town paying around $112 000. The remainder of the cost is covered by both the provincial and federal governments. The project is expected to go to tender in March, with work to take place through the summer and fall. Mayor Don Eady says without funding, these kinds of road projects would be difficult to complete.
