The Ad-hoc Committee on Poverty and Homelessness in Arnprior has received the report on two days of community consultations held in the community last November.
Oliver Jacob, an Ad-Hoc Committee member, says while fewer than 100 people participated in the process, they came up with some meaningful suggestions.
The meetings were held at Glad Tidings Church on Baskin Drive, and were hosted by the Monarch Park Group’s Karyn Dumble.
Jacob says the Ad-Hoc Committee will meet again on January 29th to formulate plans for a survey it plans to circulate in the community.
While you may have recently seen media reports of the need for a homeless shelter for Arnprior, Jacob says that is only one of a number of recommendations Dumble’s report is suggesting.
