Algonquin’s Pembroke campus is having its third annual First Moon Indigenous Culture celebration this month. The celebration includes many activities to help students and staff learn about the indigenous culture that inspired the college. Since 2015, the college has been holding events like this to better integrate indigenous culture into their campus culture. The college is running workshops on Wednesday the 22nd and Tuesday the 28th. Event organizer Jodi Bucholtz shares more about what activities are held during the celebration.
The last workshop of the celebration is Tuesday the 28th at 11 AM, featuring an Algonquin song lesson and a drumming circle activity.
