Just a few days after returning from the holiday break, many local students can expect to have the day off this coming Wednesday, as rotating strike action by members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF/FEESO) resumes.
The action impacts members of the Renfrew County District School Board represented by the OSSTF and involves a one-day, full withdrawal of services.
As well, the french public school board (Conseil scolaire des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario) and the french Catholic board (Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est) is affected so elementary and secondary students at L’Equinox and Jeanne Lajoie in Pembroke are also
impacted by the one-day walkout. The walkout by OSSTF members is scheduled for one-day only, Wednesday January 8th. The limited withdrawal of services, which began on November 26 will continue across Ontario.
