We’re waking to a fresh layer of ice this morning, which could complicate any travel plans you have, or your morning commute to work. A freezing rain warning remains in place at this hour, Environment Canada is calling for freezing rain or ice pellets throughout the morning, changing to flurries this afternoon. With the accumulation of ice, travel conditions are expected to be poor and you’re reminded to drive according to the road conditions. Take your time, leave plenty of braking room and drive with caution. Highways, roads, walkways and parking lots are icy and slippery. With gusting winds and a wind chill of minus 12, it’s recommended you stay put if you don’t have to be out and about.
