The 28th annual Christmas Day Community Friendship Dinner provides a free turkey meal to those in the Renfrew area. For the past 20-years, Brian Long has helped organize the event for those who either can’t afford their own or who have noone else to celebrate with. This year it’s at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Renfrew from 11am to 2pm. He adds they will have turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy and veggies at no cost.
Long says they also offer free transportation to the Christmas dinner and meal deliveries. He adds in the past they’ve served over 200 meals as a part of the annual community friendship dinner.
