The Township of Greater Madawaska has once again been rebuffed in its efforts to lower the speed limit on Highway 41 through Griffith.
Mayor Brian Hunt says for ten weeks this summer, a flashing speed indicator logged average speed data through the community and a report was generated, indicating vehicles are often doing 105 kilometres an hour in an 80 zone.
Hunt says Greater Madawaska will now approach local Member of Provincial Parliament John Yakabuski to see if he will carry the file forward.
