A 44 year old man is facing charges after an incident in Bonnechere Valley township last night (Sunday). The OPP say they tried to pull a man over who was wanted on criminal charges in Tyendinaga (tie-en-din-AY-guh) First Nation. However, the driver refused to pull over. As a result of a police investigation, James Johnstone of Tyendinaga was arrested and charged with flight from police, impaired operation, unauthorized possession of a firearm, drive vehicle with cannabis readily available, driving while under suspension and possession of over 30 grams of cannabis in a Public Place. He’s due in court today (Monday).
