Renfrew council is green lighting another application to the Community Improvement Plan fund. Council is granting roughly $4,200 to Nicholas Potvin to replace three sets of doors on his building on the corner of Raglan and Renfrew Avenue. The money will come from the Facade, Building and Signage Improvement grant and Potvin wants to replace the aging doors while incorporating future accessibility functions into the new doors through a future project. The work is expected to cost at least $8,400, and will see two doors on Raglan Street and one facing Renfrew Avenue replaced. There was question of whether or not the building was designated heritage, but Clerk Kim Bulmer believes the building was deregistered some time ago and no longer considered a heritage location.
