Algonquin College’s Waterfront Campus in Pembroke is giving back to the community. The college presented a cheque for $12 700 dollars to the United Way East Ontario on Giving Tuesday. The money was raised through several initiatives including a bake sale, a book and jewellry sale, individual donations and a spaghetti lunch. Staff chipped in as well through payroll deductions. United Way will use the money to support vulnerable people in our area, including some of the college’s students.
