It was both a history lesson, and a demonstration of goodwill as McNab-Braeside Council put off a decision to stop plowing a section of roadway. Mayor Tom Peckett says the piece of roadway is adjacent to River Road at a former CP Rail crossing. It was a hot topic at Tuesday’s council meeting.
Council made the decision taken back on October 16th of 2018, but nobody at the municipal office let the residents know they’d be losing their snow removal service until two days before it snowed this November.
After hearing from residents at the meeting, councillors decided to continue snow removal for the few addresses affected until legal questions are put to rest.
