Whitewater Region has hired a new Manager of Public Works. Starting December 23rd, the township will welcome Horton Councillor Lane Cleroux to the public works department. Cleroux has worked as an Engineering Technician with the Town of Renfrew since 2008 and previously worked with Ottawa Community Housing as an Architectural Assistant. He finished high school in Renfrew and holds an Architecture Technology Diploma from Algonquin College where he also studied computer engineering. Cleroux has relevant experience in waste management and major infrastructure projects and brings with him project management experience, including the use of GIS databases. The Township of Whitewater Region says starting next year, Janet Collins will be focusing on asset management planning in a contract role until June 30, 2020 and will also assist in the handing off of duties.
