Elected representatives in Admaston-Bromley are supporting a resolution calling for Child Care to be provided at municipal conferences and gatherings, such as the Rural Ontario Municipal Association, the Ontario Good Roads Association, and the Association of Municipalities of Ontario meetings.
Mayor Michael Donohue says this is 2019, and the proposal, he believes, will help in the process of attracting younger generations to offer their names for civic service.
Donohue says these are changing times.
The Mayor says planning for broader participation should also be a priority locally, including within his Township.
Councillors voted their support at the Admaston-Bromley municipal meeting of November 7th.
