Winter hasn’t officially started yet, but it’s cold outside and everyone should have the proper winter attire to keep themselves warm. Not everyone does though and the sisters of Beta Sigma Phi are working to change that. Cathy Morris says their annual Mitten Trees all began when they identified a need in our community.
You can find trees at the Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank and Scotiabanks in downtown Renfrew. They’re looking for donations of hats, mitts, scarves and socks for all ages. Donations will be collected until December 12 and then handed over to the Salvation Army for distribution.
