Residents of Cobden and Beachburg can expect to see a military presence over the next seven days. Members of the Canadian Armed Forces are conducting routine training involving CH-146 Griffon helicopters. Officials say flights will take place from 11am until midnight daily, all in support of the exercise by the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command. You may experience loud noises associated with explosives and blank ammunition. Though low level flying is expected, the military says they’ll restrict low-level flying over populated areas whenever possible.
