The final strike vote for the union representing Renfrew County public school teachers and support personnel is happening tomorrow. Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario members from the Renfrew area held their closed door vote earlier in October. Members have been without a contract since August 31st and their focal points include more support for students with special needs, the protection of Kindergarten, class size and class structure, and fair and transparent hiring practices.
