It’s a major boost for local girls hockey programs. Ottawa Valley Girls Hockey has announced that it has partnered with the Ottawa Senators to host the First Shift Program. The program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families for young girls ages 6-10. Once a week in one location, all equipment will be supplied for six on-ice sessions with qualified coaches for a total cost of $199.
