Returning Officer for the riding, Bob Rantz, expects the crunch will come around supper time this evening.
Rantz says almost 15,000 people cast ballots in the Advance Polls, up from 2015, but below the national average of 29 percent being reported across the country.
The Returning Officer says if you are not on the Voters List, it’s neither difficult nor time-consuming to cast your ballot. You can still register at your polling station today, with appropriate identification.
Rantz expects the first results in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke will be published on the Elections Canada website about 10PM tonight, and they will be updated at five minute intervals.
The Returning Officer took time from his busy schedule to cast a ballot today, and says you should do so too.
