Voters in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke are getting ready to elect their next representative in Parliament. It’s a packed ballot with ten candidates – David Ainsworth of the People’s Party of Canada, Robert Cherrin of the Veterans Coalition Party, Independent Dan Criger, Independent Jonathan Davis, the incumbent – Cheryl Gallant of the Conservatives, Libertarian Stefan Klietsch, Independent Dheerendra Kumar, Liberal Ruben Marini, Ian Pineau of the Green Party and New Democrat Eileen Jones Whyte. There are over 77,000 eligible voters in this riding, which spans from Arnprior to South Algonquin, to the eastern edge of Nipissing. Voting runs 9:30am to 9:30pm tonight. If you didn’t receive a voters card, Elections Canada says you can register at the polling station. To find which station to go to, enter your postal code at elections.ca or call Elections Canada.
