The FCC Drive Away Hunger campaign is a unique food drive that involves driving a tractor and trailer through communities to collect food and cash donations for food banks across the country.
it’s part of Farm Credit Canada’s commitment to rural Canada.
Gale Edmonston of the Eganville Food Bank says the FCC tractor is becoming a familiar sight.
She says the Eganville Food Bank receives about ninety large paper grocery bags, which are put toward serving its expansive clientele.
The Drive Away Hunger Tractor will be at Opeongo High School at 11:45AM, then at 12:30 pays a visit to
St. Michael’s Catholic School in Douglas.
The other afternoon stops are in Eganville: At 2:30PM at St. James Catholic School, arriving at the Food Bank on John Street for a 3:30 drop-off.
