The Ontario Water Association has been making the rounds to councils in Renfrew County, promoting water power and asking them to declare June 20th as Sir Adam Beck Day. Beck was the man who harnessed Niagara Falls to supply electricity to Ontarians.
All of this may build momentum for the reintroduction of hydro-electricity to the Ontario Power mix.

The Pickering station has been problematic, but currently produces 15 percent of Ontario’s electricity supply.
