The proposed expansion at Calabogie Motorsports has been incorporated into the County of Renfrew’s Official Plan.
Brian Hunt represents Greater Madawaska at County Council.
He says spectators won’t have to bring their lawn chairs and blankets if the changes are made.
Hunt says Calabogie Motorsports is adding residential accommodations for the die-hard fan, but the forty-foot track width remains in place.
The file had been in limbo since the change in government in Ontario, but September 16th the application was approved at Township Council, ratified at County September 25th and now awaits what proponents hope is a rubber stamp at Queen’s Park.
