McNab-Braeside is revising its 2020 Budget preparation process to suit the new reality at Queen’s Park, according to Mayor Tom Peckett.
In 2019 many municipalities thought they had all the numbers crunched, and then in mid-process, the Province said it was reducing amount of funding.
Peckett says this year, staff will only begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together when the guesswork is gone.
The Mayor says the coming year’s budget could be finalized six weeks to two months later than usual — possibly as late as mid-January of 2020.
