With ten candidates on the ballot in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, you may be asking yourself who to vote for. You can hear more about where the candidates stand at one of two upcoming debates. There is an all-candidates meeting at Killaloe Lions Hall on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. This event, hosted by the National Farmer’s Union, is an open forum public event. Then next Wednesday night, October 9th, there is a candidates meeting at the Agricultural Hall in Cobden. This event is sponsored by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. According to Elections Canada, the candidates in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke are: David Ainsworth of the People’s Party of Canada, Robert Cherrin of the Veterans Coalition Party of Canada, Independent candidates Dan Criger and Jonathan Davis, Cheryl Gallant of the Conservative Party, NDP candidates Eileen Jones-Whyte, Libertarian Stefan Klietsch, Independent Dheerendra Kumar, Ruben Marini of the Liberals, and Ian Pineau of the Green Party.
