The fall United Way campaign is officially underway for the newly formed United Way East Ontario. The Renfrew County United Way has joined forces with Lanark County, as well as Prescott-Russell and Ottawa for the new collaboration. Yesterday, Jade Nauman, Renfrew County’s Regional Director welcomed several members of the community to their offices inside the Phoenix Centre in Pembroke to both launch the fall fundraising campaign and announce the new partnership through Eastern Ontario. She says this year’s fundraising goal won’t focus on dollars and cents.
Naumen encourages everyone to take part in as many United Way fundraising programs as possible. For local businesses who want to host an office fundraising campaign, you can contact Naumen directly at the Phoenix Centre or find out more through their website. All money raised will stay local.
