The board of directors for both the Renfrew Victoria Hospital and St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay have appointed a Senior Vice President. The move was made after the board approved a succession plan following the announcement of Randy Penney’s retirement as CEO in June 2020. RVH Board Chair Keanan Stone says making the position of Senior VP will assure stability and minimize risk, and is also an important function of accreditation. Effective immediately, Julia Boudreau, current Vice President of Corporate Services, will assume the newly created role of Senior Vice President. She joined RVH in 1991 as Utilization Coordinator before becoming the first Nurse Manager of the Regional Hemodialysis Program from 1993 to 2000. In 2000, she took on the role of VP of Corporate Services. Over the fall, recruitment for a replacement for the Vice President of Corporate Services will begin.
