Renfrew OPP have laid two charges for street racing in the same day. Back on August 31st, police pulled over a vehicle on Highway 17 in McNab/Braeside township. A 49 year old man from Petawawa was given a court date to answer to charges of street racing. Further up the Ottawa Valley, OPP made a traffic stop on Highway 60 in Admaston/Bromley. There, a 61 year old man from Ottawa was charged for street racing. Street racing charges are laid when a vehicle is caught travelling in excess of 50 kilometres an hour over the speed limit.
