Town of Arnprior Council gave the expansion of the Grove Nursing Home on Ida Street a helping hand at its regular council meeting Monday.
Councillors agreed with a staff recommendation to waive the calculated on-site security deposit requirement of $219,692.32.
The amount is normally collected and held against servicing costs for stormwater management, landscaping, utilities and lighting, paving curbs and sidewalks at the construction site.
Arnprior Regional Health (ARH) had requested the move, indicating it would save $12 000 in interest by not having to put down the security deposit.
The town is already contributing $400 000 to the Grove redevelopment, as well waiving $256 000 in development charges.
Off-site fees of $47,850 will still be collected by the Town.
Tendering of the project was also announced Monday by ARH.
