There’s a fresh wild fire breakout in Algonquin Park. The blaze discovered late yesterday afternoon (Aug 28) is estimated to be less than a hectare in size and contained to an area 5 kilometres north of Highway 60. The forest fire hazard is rated low to moderate in most of the region however areas along the Quebec border from Mattawa to Pembroke are showing a high hazard.
