A scheduled Hydro One outage on McGonigal Street in Arnprior impacted the Monday meeting of Town Council, as there was no electricity at Town Hall at 6:30PM.
Work Crews say residents were notified that power would be out until 9PM Monday to facilitate planned line upgrades in the neighbourhood.
Mayor Walter Stack says somehow the notice was overlooked, or went astray at Town Hall- and Council members showed up to find the meeting location plunged in darkness.
The Mayor says he found out about the repair after the fact.
Stack says the meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday September 3rd at 630PM.
Council, and the Town of Arnprior apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
