McNab-Braeside Council has taken action on some of the input it received from residents at the August 13th Public Meeting on its proposed new Flood Plain By-law.
Formal comments about the By-Law are being summarized by County of Renfrew Planner Bruce Howarth, but Mayor Tom Peckett says there were some matters Council could deal with on its own last night.
For those worried about the impact of flooding on their property values, the Township will provide them with material from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) on how to proceed with possible revaluation.
He says McNab-Braeside is extending the time that dump charges for flood victims are waived until October 31st, but you will need proper documentation.
