A two vehicle collision in Lanark County has claimed the life of a young woman from Perth. On Saturday afternoon police, paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to a crash on Macphails Road between Drummond Concession 2 and Tennyson Road. 20-year old McKenzie Remus was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the vehicle she was in and ten month old passenger did not sustain serious injuries. The male driver of the second vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries. The OPP says the cause of the collision itself remains under investigation. A go-fund-me-page for McKenzie and her family has been set up. According to the fundraiser, McKenzie did not have insurance so they are raising money to help pay for funeral costs and to help with her daughters care. By Sunday night over $6,600 had been raised of the $7,500 goal. You can make a donation here.
