Valley residents are being asked to help with a Gofundme campaign in support of Renfrew’s Harry Smith.
The popular wrestling coach was involved in a bad accident while on a family vacation in Saskatchewan.
On Tuesday, Harry and his son were involved in a side-by-side rollover.
Smith was thrown from the vehicle and had to be airlifted from the scene.
He’s listed as stable, but is in serious condition in a Saskatoon Hospital.
Harry is awaiting x-rays, but these can’t be done right away due to the level of pain he is experiencing.
The community is now being asked to help out the father of three and father-figure to so many more.
Harry is Senior Head Coach with the Renfrew Amateur Wrestling Club, where he has participated for the past 20 years.
The gofundme page will help with recovery costs and transportation back home for Harry, his spouse Trish, son and granddaughter, when he is able to travel.
There’s a goal of $5,000, and a link to the gofundme campaign is on the Facebook Page, Helping Renfrew’s Coach Harry.
